• David M. Ondrey has significant experience in labor relations matters including collective bargaining and labor arbitration. He also counsels clients on a variety of employment issues including trade secrets, covenants not to compete, overtime/wage and hour law, and employment discrimination law. He has experience litigating employment related issues in the state courts, federal courts, and before administrative agencies including the EEOC and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.
• David also has considerable experience in zoning, land use planning and municipal law issues, as the current Solicitor (Law Director) for the Villages of South Russell and Burton. His clients include other governmental agencies such as the Geauga Park District, as well as builders, and real estate developers. He also represents both plaintiffs and defendants in automotive related personal injury matters.
• David currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center.  Previously David has served as Board President of United Way of Geauga County and Birthright, Inc. of Lake County.  He is also President of the Board of Lake Cardinal Estates, a homeowners association.  David is now an "ex officio" member of the University Hospitals Health System Board of Trustees. David is also a member of the First Merit Bank Advisory Board.
• David has been named a Super Lawyer twice by Super Lawyers Magazine and one of Northeast Ohio’s Leading Lawyers three times by Inside Business Magazine.
• David joined the firm as an associate in 1980 and became a partner in 1986. He is a graduate of the Cleveland Marshall College of Law (1980) and Miami University (B.A. 1973).
• David is a resident of Chardon.
